General terms & conditions for digital gift cards

1.1 These terms and conditions apply between you and Nordic Choice Commercial Services AB, Org.Nr 556106-6050 ("Nordic Choice Hotels") when purchasing digital gift cards at www.nordicchoicehotels.com ("the Website").

1.2 By purchasing a gift card on the Website, you thereby also agree to these terms and conditions.

2.1 Gift cards can be purchased by using one of the payment methods shown on the Website. When making a purchase, the payment terms on the Website apply in as far as these are not stipulated in these terms and conditions.

2.2 The minimum amount that a gift card can be charged with is 100 SEK and the maximum amount that a gift card can be charged with is 250 000 SEK.

2.3. Once the purchase of a gift card is complete, the gift card will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase.

2.4 No VAT is specified for purchases of gift cards. This is calculated on the receipt or invoice you receive from the hotel when you make a purchase with your gift card.

3.1 Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date the gift card was purchased. Once the validity of the gift card has expired, the gift card can no longer be used. It is not possible to extend the validity of the gift card.

3.2 You can contact our Customer Service to check the validity of your gift card.

4.1 The gift card can be used as a method of payment at all hotels, restaurants and spas that are part of Nordic Choice Hotels (or other companies within the same group as Nordic Choice Hotels) in any country. Gift cards are not personal and can thus also be used by individuals who did not purchase the gift card.

4.2 Gift cards cannot be used to buy another gift card.

4.3 In case of cancellations or similar, refunds will be charged to the same gift card used to make the booking or purchase. Refunds due to cancellations or similar do not affect the original validity period of the gift card.

4.4 Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

4.5 Gift cards cannot be used as a means of payment on the Website or the Nordic Choice Hotels app. Stays that will be paid for using a gift card must therefore be booked with a price category that is paid at the hotel on arrival.

5.1 When purchasing gift cards, we will use the personal details we require to be able to fulfil our obligations according to these terms and conditions, and to ensure that a payment with a gift card can be processed. When you purchase a gift card, we will use your email address, your name and certain payment information. If the recipient of the gift card is a third party, we process the recipient's personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering the gift card.

5.2. Nordic Choice Hotels will process your purchase of the gift card in collaboration with GiftUp. When purchasing a gift card, your personal information will be transferred to GiftUp in order to enable the use of the gift card in accordance to these terms and conditions.

5.3 Personal data processing is otherwise subject to our General Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

6.1 As a consumer, your right of withdrawal period is 14 days when you purchase a gift card via the Website. The right of withdrawal means that you can cancel your purchase of the gift card without having to provide a reason. If your right of withdrawal is approved, your purchase of the gift card will be refunded. The right of withdrawal must be exercised within 14 days from the date the gift card was purchased.

6.2 The right of withdrawal does not include hotel, restaurant or spa bookings made via the website.

6.3 Please contact our Customer Service if you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.

7.1 If the gift card has been accidentally erased, it may be replaced under certain circumstances. Please contact our Customer Service if you would like to check whether this is possible.

7.2 Nordic Choice Hotels cannot be held responsible if information about the gift card is shared with third parties or if you suspect the unauthorised use of the gift card. You agree to notify Nordic Choice Hotels immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of the gift card.

7.3 If these terms and conditions conflict with other terms and conditions, these terms and conditions will take precedence with respect to the purchase and use of gift cards.

7.4 Please note that separate terms and conditions apply for hotel, restaurant or spa bookings.

7.5 Swedish law shall apply to these terms and conditions. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be settled in a Swedish public court unless mandatory rules for consumer protection stipulate otherwise.
