Avalon Hotel

Toin mieheni tänne pitkäksi viikonlopuksi ja täällä oli upeaa. Meillä oli perushuone, joka oli kauniisti sisustettu boutique-tyyliin. Huoneessa oli lisämukavuuksia, kuten kylpytakit, tohvelit, Bulgarin saippua sekä mineraalivettä ja suklaata talon puolesta. Hotellista ei puutu mitään, hintaan kuuluu myös langaton internetyhteys. Aamiainen kuului meillä huoneen hintaan ja se oli upea: kaikkea mahdollista ruotsalaisista lihapullista makkaraan, leivonnaisiin ja tuoreisiin hedelmiin. Söimme runsaan aamiaisen, sillä Göteborg on suhteellisen kallis kaupunki syödä ulkona. Hotellin keskeinen sijainti on ihanteellinen, kävelymatkan päässä ostosmahdollisuuksista ja ruoka- ja juomapaikoista. Myös bussi- tai junalipun voi ostaa, niillä pääsee kauemmaksikin, noin kymmenellä eurolla per päivä.

We have stayed at Avalon several times before and even during this pandemic, the hotel lives up to our expectations. We stayed in the Panorama Deluxe room which is large and spacious, has comfortable beds with lovely bedding, comfortable armchairs to sit in and just enjoy the panoramic view of Kungsportsplatsen. We celebrated a special birthday and the hotel welcomed us with a bottle of bubbly in the room. Much appreciated! The breakfast buffet had everything that was needed and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Thanks for this time!

Stayed here for a weekend away with my daughter and we really had a great time. The central location is perfect and the breakfast was very good. Also, what a fantastic roof top pool and terrace with amazing views over the city. Staff was very friendly and all in all the hotel was a great experience!

Friendly, centrally located, quiet boutique hotel, just across the food market. Very good rooms. comfortable beds, high food quality, Very nice staff with good service. Highly recommended for all types of visits in Gothenburg. An extra plus for the roof pool open April-September.

Perfect central location. Had a very nice stay at this amazing hotel with a lovely staff, attention to details and pleasant clean rooms. The common areas and the bar have thoughtful design and great atmosphere. Quality all over. Haven’t tried the dinner menu at the hotel, but the breakfast is quite nice. The parking arrangement is a bit awkward, but they are not the only one with this issue in Gothenburg. All in all - warmest recommendations.
