Quality Hotel™ Tønsberg

We was there as a part of a group in August 2021. The room we had booked was okay but very small. There was all you need but nothing else more. The main room and bathroom keept the typical norwegian standart without any thing more and was a little bit loveless... The shower was little bit worn but clean. The shower wall - who should keep the water out of the rest of the bathroom was a kind of a swingdoor was such as stupid construction that it was almost impossible to take a shower without to flood the whole, tiny bathroom. - Congratulations to the Interiordesigners !!! The whole room looked as a "Save money" place and wasn't really interesting. The rooms getting really warm in the summertime and there was no air-conditioning to regulate the temperature by your own. The only thing you as guest could do was to open the window a little bit - but then you was getting all the noise from the street and exhaust from the arriving busses right into the room. The beds where okay but not the match... - The blankets where definitely to think an to heavy for summertime and averheatet room... - But without these blankets it was to cold. - I know that this depends on different feelings but the solution could be a thin fleece blanket in the closet. All together - it was a room with a spacious and more practical furnishings. The breakfast we had there was already the same... - A little bit of all, but nothing exciting. It was a little bit like a motel breakfast with standard wholesale foods. - The same save money feeling here, - like the rooms. Resume: The stay is okay but don't expect anything more...

I went to their restaurant and i asked for a cheeseburger and it came with no cheese and they don’t like to give you ice for some reason but the place is very good but normally the cheeseburger come with cheese but overall the restaurant is good.

The location close to the Canal and the city center is the only thing that saves this hotel. Begins to show that it has been a few years since this was built. The colors on the walls and the tiles in the bathroom are definitely ready for an update. Lack of air conditioning and poor ventilation allow a lot. Even with superior rooms, there is no refrigerator or minibar. There is poor closet space / shelves and store clothes, shoes etc. (only a small closet). If you have a room facing the canal, you must be prepared for a lot of noise until late at night (on the weekend). It usually ends a couple of hours before the noise from the seagulls takes over at 05.00

Arrived friday at 2pm. The staff was nice and friendly. Got a big room in 3rd floor with a nice view overlooking the harbour area We kindly asked if it was possible to get an early check in. Answer was NO. Check in was at 3pm. At 3pm there was a massive line of people waiting. We thought we were lucky getting such a nice room, but that Was intil the nightlife started. It was impossible to sleep. On top of that, the rooms has no AC, so you must let the window open to get airflow in the toom. Not easy since the window are locked from getting them more open then a 2” gap. (partymusic ended at 4am) The bathroom was rather small and you need to step into the bathtub for getting a shower (with low water pressure) Breakfast was ok. but enjoying it was hard since we were so tired after a night with no sleep. The bar downstairs is nice, with good drinks, but the waitresses working there might got potential, but we did not see it. Paying more then 2000NOK per night is close to a rip off. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel despite they claim they are…..

This hotel is well placed in Tønsberg near the center of Tønsberg. Room was very small compared to the price. Also the breakfast was "special" .....not too use a bad word. Food was displayed in 2 different rooms. And quite a bit distance from each other. We where also placed under the stairwell, while there was plenty of better rooms. Was not offered to change when I requested another table. Also, no bacon.... Service was good and the drinks in the bar was quite good. If you want too use the pool on the roof, then this might be an ok choice. But if not, there are plenty of other hotels for less in the city.
