Mukava perushotelli, kaupungin keskustassa. Sijainti todella hyvä aseman läheisyydessä. Huoneet perustasoa. Ravintolan antimet todella hyvät, lounasbuffet ja aamupala tuli testattua. Suomeen verrattuna hintataso korkeakoulu, mutta se taitaa olla yleinen ongelma Norjassa.

I have been in this hotel several times as customer in different ways. And it’s just ok. The lunch is quite good and the hotel rooms are fine. But today I have a treatment at the spa. First small trip into the bathrooms... the shower are the worse. All type where u need to press every two seconds and water is cold. Time to renovate it! I will suggest! The swimming pool was ok, the sauna didn’t work at all (the door was totally open but even close didn’t got warm). The Jacuzzi takes forever to start up again. More or less 20 minutes. The spa treatment was excellent!! All thanks that woman! Super good 2 hours of full take care! I love it but room looks old, like they have not been painting in years! Too bad they don’t care more about the Spa and the installations. I believe more local customers will use it and the no locals will leave the town with a properly spa experience.

Inside the rather 1970s facade is a very friendly hotel. Good location with a lot of eating options close by and 20 minute walk to the tech park. The single rooms are small but “everything you need, nothing you don’t”, while the larger rooms in the new section are quieter. Great breakfast, just needs a proper coffee machine ;) front desk and restaurant staff are always friendly and make you feel at home.

This is realistically the only hotel one can use when staying for conferences in Kongsberg. The hotel is very well situated near a cosy mid-town and the impressive river "Numedalslågen" beside it. The room was nice, clean and large with a fairly good bed with a choice of pillows. There is a separate building just across the street for those attending conferences. The people working at the hotel made you feel welcome and the service was as expected. The one thing keeping this hotel from having a better score (and probably more conferences) is the quality of the food there. The breakfast was good with a lot to choose from - and if you`re only here for the breakfast (probably included) it is easy to recommend the hotel. The problem was with the other meals served as a conference guest - the lunch didn`t look very inviting and some of the dishes tasted "funny". I would rather have the same choice for lunch as they had for breakfast instead of the "warm" meals at lunch. If the hotel doesn`t do something about this I would recommend people to eat a lot at breakfast and skip lunch. The dinner was a little bit better than lunch but I was not impressed by the overall quality of the meal - I sat there thinking about going to a McDonalds instead, and if I weren`t part of a group I would have done. Never a good sign. So there you have it - a very good hotel if you only have breakfast. As someone who travel a lot and who are responsible for choosing hotels for courses and conferences, I know how important the food is - and unfortunately, at the time, they lack in that department.

first impressions were not the best, when I walked in my door for the first time, I was met by a totally messy room, my room was not made! so, a quick call, and a walk down to the lobby sorted that, they gave me another room, and this one was clean and everything. they even gave me a free coke from the bar as a "sorry". once I was in my clean room, I have to say it was quite nice. the tv worked, the shower was nice, the fridge in the room was empty (no minibar), which was nice so I could fill it with my own bottles of pepsi-max. I had a room on the 2nd floor, and there was some noice from the town, loud music and such.. but I had the best sleep! the bed was comfy, the pillows just right (you had different sizes to choose from), the temperature in the room was just perfect! slept like a baby. instead of the minibar, they have sort of a self-served kiosk in the lobby, and this worked well, not too expensive and had what I needed. the breakfast, lunch and dinner were very nice, warm food at lunch like their fish was fantastic! The conference rooms accross the street was impressive, with soft served icecream (self served, all you can eat!). if they do not have your favorite topping, ask! they might have it under the desk.
