Estuvimos alojados una noche. Hotel clásico en su estética, en un pueblo pequeño por lo que destaca su edificio. Zona de aparcamiento al lado del hotel sin problema. Llegamos cerca de las nueve de la noche, justo para poder sentarnos y pedir algo para cenar, pues la cocina cerraba a las nueve. Voy con la habitación, de corte también clásico, bastante grande, en nuestro caso con vistas al parking. El baño amplio, muy sencillo, ducha al mismo nivel que el suelo, aunque había mampara, pero no eso no evitaba que el resto del baño acabara mojado. En cuanto al restaurante, desayuno buffet correcto con bastantes opciones, entre ellas bebidas vegetales tipo leche. El salón es muy amplio y con vistas al lago, así que está bastante bien. En cuanto a la cena, había opción de tomar buffet o bien a la carta, elegimos a la carta porque a la hora a la que llegamos el buffet ya estaba cerrando y porque era más barato. Había alguna opción vegana, como la hamburguesa que yo tomé con patatas y ensalada. Precios muy altos para nuestro bolsillo español. En la recepción hay una tienda de recuerdos. Personal correcto. Hotel correcto, quizás con vistas al fiordo hubiera ganado más puntos.

Hotel staff is extremely nice and willing to go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They are very pleasant and helpful in all regards. I will highly suggest this hotel for lodging in Eidfjord. The view from the hotel is incredible as well. After discussing the Northern Lights with a front desk staff member, we asked him to call us if he saw them become visible, and he did so later in the evening! Thank you!

For the price you pay you have big expectations which are unfortunatly not getting fullfilled. The rooms are big and we got an free upgrade with an balcony but the hotel is a bit outdated and in need of modernisation. Breakfast was good. Restaurant is too expensive in my opinion. Because we were tired and didnt had a lot of choice we had to pay huge money for a good night sleep which is not worth paying it.

I had taken the daily Hardangerfjord Fjord Scheduled Service from Bergen, which starts from Norheimsund, to Eidfjord. The boat remains at Eidfjord for over 3 hours or so. So, if you've left your hiking boots at home, then you'll have time to enjoy a lovely light lunch, perhaps a glass of wine at Voringfoss Hotel. Which is exactly what I did before taking the return Scheduled Service back to Bergen. I have to say, a brilliant way to enjoy a day on the Hardangerfjord. The lunch menu is short and simple, and makes use of local produce. I enjoyed a delicious Potato soup with bacon pieces, drizzle of basil oil with toasted soda bread and herby butter. For pud, I had Rhubarb cake with accompaniment of flowers and a Berry sorbet. Delicious. Service was charming and attentive even though they had a big group to manage in the main dining room.
